私達は大阪堺市で紙屋を営んでいます。これまで培った紙の専門的知識や加工の経験を活かしながら、2005年から紙製品を企画したりワークショップを行なっています。山本紙業は「紙と暮らし紙に触れ紙を愉しむ」をテーマに、文化の創造、人間力の育成、豊かなで健康的な生活を目指しています。私たちの活動が、感性にあふれた沢山の人々を刺激し、夢あふれる未来の創造に繋がることを願っています。そして山本紙業は【日本一おもしろい紙屋】を目指しています。FRATでは紙好きなバイヤー様との出会いを楽しみにしています！

We run a stationery shop in Sakai City, Osaka. Leveraging the specialized knowledge of paper and our processing experience cultivated over the years, we have been planning paper products and hosting workshops since 2005. Yamamoto Shogyo aims for a life enriched by paper, guided by the theme, “Paper and Life: Touching Paper, Enjoying Paper.” We strive to contribute to the creation of culture, the nurturing of human potential, and the realization of rich and healthy lives. We hope that our activities will inspire many people with their sensibilities and lead to the creation of a dream-filled future. And Yamamoto Shogyo aims to be the “Most Interesting Stationery Shop in Japan.” We look forward to connecting with stationery-loving buyers at FRAT!

2019年、サンフランシスコペンショーで多くの筆記ファンから絶賛を浴びた「コスモエアライト」。しかし、その輝きは2022年に製造終了という形で幕を下ろしました。あの日から、私たちは長い時を彷徨いました。日本製紙が後継品とした紙では、あの感動を再び呼び起こすには到底及ばない、そう確信した山本紙業は、新たな紙を生み出すべく研究と探求を重ねてきました。しかし、その道は決して平坦なものではありませんでした。国内の製紙業界は、時代の波に抗いながらも、生き残りをかけて古い抄紙機の停止や廃棄、多品種の紙の統廃合を進めています。そんな厳しい環境の中で、新しい紙に挑むということは至難の業でした。それでも、日本の製紙技術者たちが産み出す品質と紙一枚に込める情熱を受け止め、世界に伝えることこそが山本紙業の使命であると信じ、3年の歳月をかけこのプロジェクトに持てるすべての力を注ぎました。
Cosmo Air Light received high praise from fountain pen fans at the 2019 San Francisco Pen Show. But in 2022 its production came to an end and we found ourselves adrift in search of a worthy replacement. Yamamoto Paper knew that the substitute offered by Nippon Paper couldn’t recapture the magic. Determined to revive that feeling we pursued the creation of a new paper?though the road was far from easy. As Japan’s paper industries faced machine shutdowns and product consolidation developing something new was a daunting challenge. Still we believed in the craftsmanship and passion of Japanese papermakers. With that conviction Yamamoto Paper dedicated three years to this project?driven by the hope of sharing that passion with the world once again.

As Japan's paper industry navigated the currents of change, it faced the difficult task of shutting down and disposing of older papermaking machinery and consolidating its diverse product lines to survive. In such a challenging environment, developing a new paper was an immense undertaking. Nevertheless, we believed that our mission was to receive and share the quality and passion imbued in a single sheet of paper by Japanese papermakers with the world. With that conviction, Yamamoto Paper dedicated three years to this project, pouring all our resources into it.
