LETTERPRESS STICKER

"創業1950年、東京深川にあるシール印刷所がつくるステッカーシリーズ
すべて、古くからある凸版印刷と呼ばれる版画のような技法で刷られたステッカーです。
インクの調合、版の重なり、型抜きなど
古くから続く技術を、身近に楽しめるような一枚に仕上げています。

TSUTOMU MAEDA /CHIYO TAKAIWA の二人によるもの
版の重なり、線一本一本の繊細さ、手で練るインクによる色の奥深さなど
デジタル印刷にはない
版画のような技法に魅了されながら日々、創作活動を行っています。
モチーフは動物や植物、海洋生物、模様など、
他にはないユニークなばかりです。"

"A sticker series created by a sticker printing company founded in 1950 in Fukagawa, Tokyo. All stickers are printed using the traditional relief printing technique, reminiscent of old-fashioned printmaking.
We carefully blend inks, overlap plates, and die-cut, combining these long-standing techniques into a single piece you can enjoy.
All designs and illustrations for STICKER & DESIGN are created by TSUTOMU MAEDA and CHIYO TAKAIWA. They are captivated by the charm of printmaking techniques, such as the overlap of plates, the delicacy of each line, and the depth of colors from hand-mixed inks, which are not found in digital printing.
Our motifs include animals, plants, marine life, patterns, and other unique designs."

"A series that includes letter paper stickers and envelopes.
The letter paper stickers feature the overlapping plates and faded print patterns unique to relief printing.
Though they are letter paper stickers, you can stick them on the outside of envelopes or attach them to cards and papers to place inside envelopes.
You can also use them as wrapping accents on boxes and bags. There are various ways to use them, adding a special touch to gifts and letters with a personal note."
