Kobe INK Story

“震災から約10年が経過し、復興に追われていた日々から落ち着きを取り戻しつつありました。私たちナガサワ文具センターは震災で大きなダメージが受けましたが、お客様やお取引先様そして全国から温かいご支援のおかげで立ち直ることが出来ました。Kobe INK物語は、震災でお世話になった方々に改めてお礼のお手紙を書こうとしたときに「神戸らしい色の万年筆インクで書きたい」と開発者の竹内直行が思ったのが始まりです。
彩り溢れる神戸の魅力を伝えたいと考え最初に3色作りました。六甲山の美しい「グリーン」、波止場から見た美しい「ブルー」、そして旧居留地の建物から発想を得た「セピア」です。
発売すると反響があり「私の街の色を作って欲しい」というお客様の声が多く届くようになりました。私たちが愛してやまない神戸には魅力的な街や風景や植物が多くあります。それらを丹念にリサーチしてインクを作成しています。時には構想から製品にするまで8年以上時間を要する場合もございます。
多くの方に「神戸インク物語」を通じて神戸の魅力をお伝え出来れば幸いです。”

Kobe INK Story
“About 10 years had passed since the earthquake, and we were beginning to regain our composure from the days of being consumed with reconstruction. Nagasawa Stationery Center was heavily damaged by the earthquake, but we were able to recover thanks to the warm support from our customers, business partners, and people from all over the country. The Kobe INK Story began when our developer, Naoyuki Takeuchi, wanted to write a thank-you letter to those who helped us during the earthquake with fountain pen ink in colors that represent Kobe.
We wanted to convey the colorful charm of Kobe, so we started with three colors: the beautiful ‘Green’ of Mount Rokko, the stunning ‘Blue’ seen from the harbor, and ‘Sepia’ inspired by the buildings of the old foreign settlement.
After the release, we received a great response and many requests from customers asking us to create colors that represent their own towns. Kobe, a city we deeply love, is filled with attractive towns, landscapes, and plants. We carefully research these to create our inks. Sometimes, it takes more than 8 years from concept to product.
We hope to convey the charm of Kobe to many people through the ‘Kobe INK Story’.”

"Kobe INK Story is a line of fountain pen inks that was born in Kobe in 2007. 風見鶏万年筆

Weathercock Fountain Pen

"神戸の異人館街にあって、一際目立つ風見鶏の館のシルエットは、緑深い六甲山の麓でいつの間にか神戸の街のモニュメント的な存在となりました。中でも尖塔にそびえる風見鶏は、まるで日常の神戸の街をいつもあたたかな眼で見守っているようです。そのような神戸の魅力あるワンシーンを長く心に留めてほしいとの想いをカタチに変えて神戸発のオリジナル万年筆の命であるペン先に「風見鶏」を刻印しました。この風見鶏のペン先を持つ万年筆は、港町神戸から世界へと、物語を乗せて旅立っています。"

"In Kobe's Kitano area, the silhouette of the Weathercock House stands out prominently. Nestled at the foot of the lush green Mount Rokko, it has become a monument of Kobe over time. The weathercock on the spire looks as if it is always warmly watching over the everyday life of Kobe. We wanted to capture this charming scene of Kobe in a form that people can keep close to their hearts for a long time. Thus, we engraved the 'Weathercock' on the nib of our original fountain pen from Kobe. This fountain pen with the weathercock nib is now traveling from the port city of Kobe to the world, carrying its story."

オノマトペインク

Onomatopoeia Ink

"日常にひそむ音、声、様子や動きなどを伝えるちょっと不思議な言葉「オノマトペ」を色で表現しているインクです。この色や言葉からどのような情景を思い浮かべるか・・・大事な方へのお手紙や趣味の文字・イラスト描きなどに、「書く」「見る」「考える」楽しみをインクを通じて感じていただけると嬉しいです。"

"This ink expresses the slightly mysterious words 'onomatopoeia,' which convey the sounds, voices, states, and movements hidden in everyday life, through color. What kind of scenes do you imagine from these colors and words? We hope that through this ink, you can enjoy the pleasures of 'writing,' 'seeing,' and 'thinking' when writing letters to loved ones or drawing illustrations as a hobby."
