Kawakiru

企画・製造を手がけるカワノ産業では、飼い主とかけがえのないペットを結ぶ犬具をコミュニケーションツールと捉え、様々な犬用猫用の首輪やリード、ハーネス等を製造しています。その中でも本革への拘りは創業からずっと大切にしてきました。しかし、本革という自然素材を取り扱う上で、信頼性の高いペット用品として品質が担保できる本革の部位のみを使用しているため、それ以外の本革の端材というのがどうしても出てしまいます。繊維の詰まった丈夫で美しい国産牛革の端材を有効活用するために「Kawakiru（カワキル）」のプロジェクトがスタートしました。

At KAWANO Sangyo, which handles planning and manufacturing, we view dog accessories as communication tools connecting beloved pets with their owners, and we manufacture various collars, leads, and harnesses for dogs and cats. Among these, our commitment to genuine leather has been a core value since our founding. However, because we only use parts of genuine leather that guarantee the quality required for reliable pet products, we inevitably have leftover scraps from other parts of the leather. To effectively utilize these scraps of durable and beautiful domestic cowhide, the “Kawakiru” project was launched.

従来の抜型では制作しにくかった、デジタルカッティングならではの「透かしデザイン」をぜひお楽しみください。

These design charms are crafted from durable, leftover full-grain cowhide used for dog accessories, utilizing the latest digital cutting technology.
We invite you to experience "laser-cut designs," which are possible with digital cutting and difficult to achieve with traditional dies.

最新のデジタルカッティングと、犬具で使われる堅牢な本革の端材を有効活用して“新しい定番”に成り得るプロダクトを発表します。
プロダクトデザイナー兼レザークラフターの堀真寿と、40年以上革製品の製造を行ってきたカワノ産業の職人たちが何度も試作を重ね、
「使いやすさ」と「機能性」のある、これまでにはなかった新しい革小物が完成しました。特許出願中。

We are unveiling a product that has the potential to become a new staple, utilizing the remnants of durable full-grain leather traditionally used for dog accessories, combined with the latest digital cutting technology.
Through numerous prototypes developed by product designer and leather craftsman Masashi Hori, and artisans from KAWANO Sangyo with over 40 years of leather goods manufacturing experience, we have created a new line of leather accessories that offer both unprecedented ease of use and functionality. Patent pending.

Through numerous prototypes developed by product designer and leather craftsman Masatoshi Hori and artisans from KAWANO Sangyo, who have over 40 years of experience in leather goods manufacturing, we have created a novel leather accessory that combines "the joy of play" with high functionality.
